This study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics according to Tessier classification and evaluate the surgical outcomes in patients with rare craniofacial cleft (RCC) primary repair. A retrospective study on 30 patients with RCC was conducted at the Department of Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery of the Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics. Rare craniofacial cleft was recorded according to Tessier's classification and was analyzed for gender, affected side, clinical characteristics, and associated abnormalities.

Objectives: Cardiovascular disease is a prevalent comorbidity and leading cause of mortality in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients. Early identification of cardiac abnormalities in COPD patients is crucial. Speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) is practical for assessing ventricular and atrial function, but its role in COPD patients is under-researched.

However, identifying these conditions in their early stages remains a significant challenge. Our goal was to develop a method capable of detecting latent disease liability in healthy volunteers.

Total nasal defects, including adjacent soft tissue damage, present a challenge for plastic surgeons, and in this case, free flaps should be an alternative when local flaps are limited. However, the importance of donor site morbidity must be taken into account for free flaps. Due to flap bulkiness, the anterolateral thigh (ALT) free flaps are less commonly used to restore nasal structures.

Here, we achieve sub-1 nm equivalent oxide thickness (EOT) on monolayer MoS using HfO and a simple, commonly available Si seed. We first investigate six seed layer candidates (Si, Ge, Hf, La, Gd, AlO) and find that only Si and Ge cause no measurable damage to the MoS.

To fill this knowledge gap, we assessed 74 PCA homolog groups commonly referred to as short-chain (SCCPs: PCAs-C), medium-chain (MCCPs: PCAs-C), and long-chain CPs (LCCPs: PCAs-C) in technical CP mixtures (n = 4) and polymer samples (n = 49), including recycled plastics, collected in Vietnam in 2023. The contents of measured PCA homolog groups in technical CP mixtures were 86,000-930,000 mg/kg for PCAs-C; 85,000-990,000 mg/kg for PCAs-C; and 23,000-180,000 mg/kg for PCAs-C.

This study focuses on "more than Moore" approaches, specifically in neuromorphic computing. Although MoS devices have attracted attention as neuromorphic computing candidates, their performances have been limited due to environment-induced perturbations to carrier dynamics and the formation of defect states.

Among the measured HOC contaminants, the mean concentration of ∑PCBs (2.3 ± 0.

To address this, we developed an affinity-based microfluidic device for specific capture of intact severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Our approach used an engineered angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 to capture intact virus from plasma and other complex biofluids.

When prevention fails and children are exposed to lead, secondary interventions are often used to mitigate the adverse effects. We review the literature on the effectiveness of secondary interventions used to treat children with elevated blood lead levels (BLL).

Methods: This study employed various analytical methods to quantify some important phytochemical compounds in dragon fruit juice such as total and reducing sugars, vitamin C, betacyanins, anthocyanins, polyphenol, and so forth. This study also employed the Box-Behnken response surface experimental design to optimize various processing parameters for quality and consumer satisfaction, which include enzymatic pectin hydrolysis parameters and formulation for dragon fruit energy drink.
The optical properties of MoS and WS monolayers are significantly influenced by fabrication methods, especially with respect to the behavior of excitons at the -point of the Brillouin zone. Using spectroscopic ellipsometry, we obtain the complex dielectric functions of monolayers of these materials from cryogenic to room temperatures over the energy range 1.5 to 6.

This study aimed to assess parental decision-making and identify factors influencing their decision to vaccinate their children against COVID-19.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional online survey conducted between April and May 2023 among parents of children aged 6-17 years enrolled in urban and rural schools in Thai Nguyen province, Vietnam.
Acquired vulvar lymphangioma (AVL) is a rare but important condition that requires prompt diagnosis and appropriate management to alleviate symptoms and prevent complications. AVL can erupt locally as isolated or clustered lesions which range from translucent, fluid-filled vesicles to smooth, flesh-colored papules or nodules that exude serous or crystalline liquid spontaneously or after trauma. Clinically, it can also be asymptomatic.

The goal of this study was to evaluate the impact of CBCT image guidance on the cumulative and interfractional variation of mean heart dose (MHD) during breath-hold RT in patients with breast cancer. We hypothesized that weekly CBCT is not necessary for SGRT-assisted breath-hold but is still needed in patients treated with voluntary deep inspiration breath-hold (vDIBH) and active breathing control (ABC) to maintain a stable MHD.

Background: Diabetes is one of the leading causes of noncommunicable diseases worldwide. It is known to induce cardiovascular remodeling, which can result in a variety of complications, including a considerable increase in aortic stiffness. While studies in Western populations have explored these effects, data on Asians, mainly Vietnamese, are limited.
