In this paper we present the case of a female teenager patient who was diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder and during psychotropic treatment with risperidone, the prolactin levels ranged between 55 ng/mL and 85 ng/mL at monthly repeated dosing. During this period, the patient presented somatic alterations in her state of health. The patient benefited from brain imaging, which revealed that in sella turcica is distinguished a well-defined and relatively homogeneous formation, measuring approximately 11/8 mm, suggestive of a pituitary adenoma.

Methods: We assessed: The number of corneal prelevations. The number of surgeries. The etiology of the disesses which need cornea/transplantation.
Unlabelled: The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the incidence of endophthalmitis after the phacoemulsification.
Material And Methods: Retrospective clinical study that includes all the patients that have been operated and all cases of endophthalmitis survived after that in the period between 1.06.
PURPOSE OF THE PAPER: To report a rare association between Groenow type II macular corneal dystrophy and degree myopia, as encountered in two non-twin sisters. We conducted a clinical surveillance of the morbid ophthalmological manifestations presented by two non-twin sisters. These manifestations occurred in an almost identical manner over time.

Methods And Materials: An interview was conducted among 30 glaucoma patients who under medical treatment and whose glaucoma didn't evolve during the previous 12 months, taking into consideration their visual field, intraocular pressure and ophthalmoscopic view of the optic disc. The patients were asked about their background, socio-cultural status, age, type of therapy they were following and their degree of satisfaction regarding the therapy's effect over their life quality.
Objectives: To assess the predictive validity (ability to correlate to real-life environment) and efficacy of a training programme for laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP), based on a structured and progressive pelvitrainer component with hands-on clinical training in the operating room (OR).
Methods: Prospective data on 500 LRP cases were analysed with 80 excluded due to incomplete records. The operation was divided into multiple steps.
Introduction: Prior research has suggested that paracentesis is free from complications such as acute renal failure (ARF) providing albumin is administered. Actual safety of paracentesis > 1,000 ml was assessed at a tertiary care hospital.
Methods: 300 inpatient paracenteses performed between 12/99 and 4/04 were identified by coding records, of which 40 procedures were excluded due to lack of pre- or post-procedure lab values.
Background And Purpose: Vascular injuries are the most common complication of pelvic lymph-node dissection. We report a case of total division of the external iliac artery and its immediate laparoscopic repair.
Methods: A 70-year-old man with a prostatic adenocarcinoma (Gleason Score 6) and serum prostate specific antigen concentration of 20 ng/mL had inadvertent external iliac-artery transection during pelvic lymphnode dissection secondary to the abnormal course and anatomy of the artery.
Primary cardiac lymphomas (PCLs), involving solely heart and/or pericardium at presentation, are rare events. They are frequently recognized at autopsy and generally carry a poor prognosis due either to a delay in the diagnosis or to infiltration of heart structures. We report here on two patients with large B-cell PCL.

The aim of our study was to evaluate whether underlying disease influences hemopoietic recovery and the infectious complications occurring after transplantation. We studied 19 breast cancer (BC) patients and 17 multiple myeloma (MM) patients entered in a high-dose chemotherapy (HDC) program of tandem autografting with CD34+ cell-selected PBPC.

The tumor is of B-cell origin in most cases. Prognosis is poor with a reported median survival of 5-7 months.

At 14 years, despite the severe oligoasthenospermia, he fathered a healthy child by assisted reproductive technique (ART) consisting in controlled ovarian hyperstimulation of the patient's wife, transvaginal ovum pick up and microinjection of the ovum with a previously isolated sperm cell from the patient (intracytoplasmatic sperm injection, ICSI). As far as we know, that is the first documented case of successful paternity using microassisted fertilization with ICSI technique in a patient submitted to TBI-based bone marrow transplantation.

Then is a study about incidence and evolution of cytomegalovirus retinitis in AIDS patients, which have the diagnosis among january 1994-september 2002.
Conclusions: In Romania the incidence of cytomegalovirus retinitis in AIDS patients is lower than in western countries, because over 60% of patients are children.
Primary cutaneous follicular lymphoma (PCFL) and nodal follicular lymphoma (NFL) are different entities, which, nevertheless, exhibit common features. The aim of this study was to compare the clinico-biological characteristics and the outcome of patients with PCFL and with limited stage NFL. A group of 22 consecutive patients with PCFL presenting with single or multiple cutaneous lesions was compared to a group of 21 patients with limited stage NFL.

Patients And Methods: A group of 21 consecutive patients with PCL-CF (median age 56 years) presenting with single (11/21) or multiple (10/21) cutaneous lesions observed between January 1980 and June 2000 were described. The histologic features, treatment modalities and outcome were shown.
Unlabelled: The paper presents clinical and therapy features of the ocular Toxoplasmosis in patients with HIV-AIDS infection. Four cases of AIDS have been observed in witch has been recognized the ocular toxoplasmosis (two at children and two at adults). It was watched the evolution under treatment of the lesions caused by the parasite and it was appreciated the efficiency of the therapy.

We report the case of a 77-year-old man with previous clinical evidence of multiple myeloma involving skin, ribs, and lungs, and initially treated with surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy attaining partial response. Fourteen months after the onset, the patient presented with left testicular enlargement due to plasmacytoma.
