More realistic models that can histologically reproduce human tumors are provided by tissue engineering methods of co-culturing cells of varied phenotypes to provide 3D tumor spheroids that recapitulate the dynamic TME in 3D matrices. The novel approaches of creating 3D tumor models are combined with tumor tissue engineering (TTE) scaffolds including hydrogels, bioprinted materials, decellularized tissues, fibrous and nanostructured matrices.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted, including 5390 pregnant women who were screened for GDM at Alexandra Hospital in Athens, Greece over a 15-year period (2000-2014). Maternal age, pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI), height, family history of type 2 diabetes mellitus, parity, educational and smoking status, and AAM were recorded.

We present here the investigated genetic association between the development of BCC and functional DNA polymorphisms M235T, I/D, and A1903G in the genes of angiotensinogen (AGT), angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), and chymase (CMA1), which mediate AngII production levels.
Methods: DNA samples of 203 unrelated Greeks were studied, including 100 patients with BCC and 103 matched healthy controls.
An accurate and robust Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) method proves surprising versatility in an Intelligent Transportation and Surveillance (ITS) system. Materials And Methods: Data collected from 355 unrelated Greeks examined for the mutation G20210A over a period of two decades were anonymously analyzed.
Results: The statistical analysis confirmed the importance of F2 G20210A in thrombosis and the significance of a positive family history of thrombosis.

Material And Methods: A 40-year-old male patient was examined neurologically and genetically.
Introduction: Frontometaphyseal dysplasia 1 (FMD1) is a rare X-linked craniofacial syndrome belonging in the otopalatodigital spectrum of disorders. Here we present a case with severe FMD1 that was caused by a mutation in the FLNA gene located on Xq28.
Methods: A diagnosis for FMD1 was clinically set for a 22-year-old male who presented with cranial hyperostosis with marked supraorbital ridge, hypertelorism, progressive mixed hearing loss, partial anodontia, scoliosis, generalized skeletal dysplasia, and muscle atrophy.
RASSF1A promoter methylation has been correlated with tumor dedifferentiation and aggressive oncogenic behavior. Nevertheless, the underlying mechanism of RASSF1A-dependent tumor dedifferentiation remains elusive. ARF has been shown to be frequently lost through CpG island promoter methylation in a wide spectrum of human malignancies, such as colorectal, prostate, breast, and gastric cancers, while point mutations and deletions in the p14ARF locus have been linked with various forms of melanomas and glioblastomas. Although ARF has been mostly studied in the context of tumorigenesis, it has been also implicated in purely developmental processes, such as spermatogenesis, and mammary gland and ocular development, while it has been additionally involved in the regulation of angiogenesis.
