Integrity and filtration efficiency of decontaminated N95/PFF2 masks to protect health care professionals against COVID-19: A systematic literature review and meta-analysis.

Background: To evaluate the evidence related to maintaining the integrity and filtration efficiency of N95 and/or PFF2 respirators after decontamination in health care professionals' protection against COVID-19.

Methods: Systematic review, developed based on the guidelines from Joanna Briggs Institute for syntheses focusing on effectiveness evidence. The protocol was registered on the International Prospective Register of Ongoing Systematic Reviews platform, under the number CRD42022354256.

Subsample analysis of the Vascular Complications Risk Score at two public referral centers for interventional cardiology.

Objective: Evaluate the performance of the Vascular Complications Risk Score in two public referral centers for interventional cardiology.

Method: Subsample analysis of the Vascular Complications Risk Score, which was developed and validated in the catheterization laboratories of three cardiology referral centers (two public, one private) with a cutoff of <3 for no risk of developing vascular complications and ≥3 for risk. In this new analysis, we excluded data from the private facility, and only included participants from the original (validation) cohort of the two public hospitals.

Nursing process: from literature to practice. What are we actually doing?

Objectives: To describe the steps of the nursing process as prescribed in the literature and to investigate the process as actually applied in the daily routine of a general hospital.

Methods: Cross-sectional retrospective study (May/June 2005), performed in a hospital in Porto Alegre, RS. Medical records of adult patients admitted to a surgical, clinical or intensive care unit were reviewed to identify the nursing process steps accomplished during the first 48 h after admission.
