Rapid, sensitive and selective method was studied for the determination of glyphosate in rice and wheat flour using a Raptor Polar column. Samples were extracted with acidified methanol solution. Isotope labeled internal standard was added with the extraction solvent to ensure accurate tracking and quantitation.

A fast and easy method was developed for the determination of glyphosate in maize and rice by using liquid chromatography triple quadrupole mass spectrometry with a Dionex Ion Pack column and phosphate buffer mobile phase. Samples were extracted with an acidified methanol solution. An isotope-labeled internal standard was added to the sample before extraction to ensure accurate tracking and quantification.

A simple and rapid method has been studied for the determination of acidic herbicides (2,4-D, Dichlorprop, Dichlorprop-p, Fluazifop, Fluroxypyr, MCPA, Mecoprop and Mecoprop-p) on cereals (rye). The method involves an alkaline hydrolysis with sodium hydroxide in order to release covalently bound compounds, prior to QuEChERS extraction, followed by neutralization and analysis via liquid chromatography-double mass spectrometry LC/MS/MS. The performance of the method either with or without alkaline hydrolysis was studied in terms of recovery rates and limit of quantification (LOQ).

A simple method for the determination of dimethyl fumarate (DMFu) in silica gel pouches has been developed. The gas chromatographic behaviour of DMFu was investigated; the instrumental method, based on EI mass spectrometry coupled with an Ion Trap Detector operating whether in full scan mode or in MS/MS mode was also investigated. Several factors have been evaluated and optimized during the development process: solvent and temperature of extraction, type of stationary phase in capillary column.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMFu) is a substance with remarkable hygroscopicity and fungicidal power, which has recently showed to be a strong sensitizer to humans. The use of DMFu in little desiccant pouches, for e.g.

A fast, simple and inexpensive method has been developed for the analysis of phenoxy acid herbicides: 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), 4-chloro-2-methylphenoxyacetic acid (MCPA), 2-(4-chloro-o-tolyloxy)propionic acid (MCPP), 2-(4-aryloxyphenoxy)propionic acid (Fluazifop) and 2-(4-aryloxyphenoxy)propionic acid (Haloxyfop) in carrots and apples by liquid chromatography coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). The compounds were analyzed by QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, safe) methodology without cleanup. The recoveries were performed at two spiked levels (0.

A multiresidue method was developed and optimized for the identification/quantification of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and pyrethroids (PYRs) in beef meat samples. Samples extraction was performed by an automated solvent extractor and the extracts were cleaned-up by a tandem-cartridge system consisting of an Extrelut NT3 combined with a Sep-Pack C18 cartridge and a florisil minicartridge. Analysis was finally carried out by gas chromatography coupled with quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC/MS).

Ninety-six marine sediment samples from an Italian harbour were analysed by GC/MS ion trap for the residues of nitrobenzenes and chlorobenzenes. The significance of these compounds in the investigated matrix was discussed. In order to determine the simultaneous presence of chlorobenzenes and nitrobenzenes in marine sediments, a simple extraction method by an automatic extraction system was developed.

A simple and reliable analytical procedure using capillary electrophoresis with UV absorbance detection for the direct enantiomeric resolution and quantitation of chiral fungicide metalaxyl is described. Several native cyclodextrins and modified beta-cyclodextrins were investigated as chiral additives to 50 mM sodium tetraborate buffer pH 9.3.

The separation of paraquat, diquat, and difenzoquat bipyridilium herbicides and ethyl viologen as internal standard is shown. The separation has been carried out using a fused silica capillary with a high-sensitivity detection cell for a capillary electrophoresis system and with a diode array detector. The experiments have been performed using phosphate buffer 50 mM at pH = 4 and pH = 7.
