Adenoid cystic carcinoma presenting as a midpalatal nodular mass with slow growth and long evolution: a case report with review of differential diagnosis.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma is an aggressive but slow-growing salivary gland tumor most commonly appearing in the palate. Though it is well recognized that this tumor has a slow-growing course, a clinical presentation of 10 years is uncommon. This article presents a case of a midpalatal nodular mass with a reported history of 10 years.

Myxomas are a rare benign neoplasm of uncertain mesenchymal cell origin, typically involving the heart. Laryngeal myxomas are uncommon, and are usually misdiagnosed as laryngeal polyp. To the best of our knowledge, there are only nine reported cases in the English literature.
