To investigate the influence of adding a weekly eccentric-overload training (EOT) session in several athletic performance's tests, 18 team-handball players were assigned either to an EOT (n = 11) or a Control (n = 7) group. Both groups continued to perform the same habitual strength training, but the EOT group added one session/week during a 7-week training programme consisting of four sets of eight repetitions for the bilateral half-squat and unilateral lunge exercises. The test battery included handball throwing velocity, maximum dynamic strength (1RM), countermovement jump (CMJ), 20 m sprint, triple hop for distance, and eccentric/concentric power in both the half-squat and lunge exercises.

Among all the sensing films prepared, the novel mixed ligand phosphite-amine [FePc(benzylamine)(P(OEt)(3)] () immobilized into AP200/19 showed the best sensitivity, reversibility (LOD and LOQ of 1.

These cells produce and secrete gonadotropins (follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone). Most of these tumors show altered production of gonadotropins and their subunits (the p-FSH, a and, less frequently, p-LH subunits).

Methods: Hypertensive patients aged 40 years or older were treated with lercanidipine (10 mg daily) after 7-10 days washout period. The duration of the study was 6 months.
Previous studies have shown an increased effect of proton pump inhibitors on intragastric pH in Helicobacter pylori (HP)-infected patients suffering from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). We evaluated the effect of HP infection on healing and symptom relief in GERD patients with erosive esophagitis treated with pantoprazole. Two hundred twenty-seven patients with endoscopically proven reflux esophagitis were treated for 8 weeks with pantoprazole, 40 mg daily.

Methods: Grade 1 or 2 essential hypertensive patients in whom their physicians considered to prescribe a dihydropyridine were conferred to Lercanidipine 10 mg once daily with a 3-month follow-up; 9059 patients were included (age: 63 +/- 11 years; 58% women, 60% over 60 years, 56% grade 2 hypertensives and 69% previously treated with other antihypertensive drugs).

A case of an 18-year-old male with extensive posterior and lateral soft-tissue loss of the lower leg is reported. There was a segmental defect of 20 cm in the tibialis posterior neurovascular bundle, and the injury was not considered reconstructable. There was extensive soft-tissue trauma to the posterior compartments of the leg, with an intact and well-perfused foot.
