Background: Preliminary evidence suggests that children are just as likely to become infected with SARS-CoV-2 as adults but are less prone to developing severe clinical conditions. However, there are pediatric inflammatory conditions that have also been encountered. The aim of this report is to determine whether there is a relationship between COVID-19 and severe infections in the ear, nose, throat, and deep cervical area (ENT) in pediatric populations.

Sclerosing polycystic adenosis (SPA) is a rare, newly-reported lesion of the salivary glands. Most cases occurred within mayor salivary glands and were frequently confused with other salivary gland carcinomas such as acinar cell carcinoma. We report a case of SPA within the submandibular gland in a 63-year-old woman.

We present a case report of a thyroid fracture after a sneezing episode, with odynophagia, dysphonia, and neck pain. The examination showed oedema at the right vocal cord and haematoma at the right false vocal cord. An anterior thyroid fracture without displacement, and a subcutaneous emphysema could be seen on the CT.
