Unlabelled: In order to assess if any differences exist in children germ cell tumours depending on age, we compared some features of germ cell tumours in two age groups:younger than 10 and between 11 and 18 years.

Material And Methods: Data of 146 patients with germ cell tumours treated in 15 Polish paediatric oncology departments between 1995 and 2005 were evaluated. They were divided into two groups: 76 children 0-10 years old (group I) and 70 patients 11-18 years old (group II).

Thymomas and thymic carcinomas are rare neoplasms derived from the epithelial tissue of thymus, very infrequently developing in young adults and children. The estimation of thymomas' invasiveness has been the matter of discussion for many years reflected by numerous clinical and histological classifications. In 1999 the WHO classification was created, joining all the most important issues present in previously used systems.

Congenital neutropenia predisposes to the development of haematopoetic malignancies. We present a 3,5-year child, diagnosed with congenital neutropenia at the age of I month. The diagnosis was based on peripheral blood and bone marrow aspirate analyses, performed after the treatment of multiple axillar abscesses.
