Vocal labeling of others by nonhuman primates.

Humans, dolphins, and elephants are the only known species that vocally label their conspecifics. It remains unclear whether nonhuman primates share this ability. We recorded spontaneous "phee-call" dialogues between pairs of marmoset monkeys.
