Antioxidant activities of flavonol derivatives from the leaves and stem bark of Scutia buxifolia Reiss.

This study evaluated the antioxidant activities in the leaves and stem bark fractions of Scutia buxifolia. Cerebral lipid peroxidation (TBARS) was induced by Fe(II) and radical-scavenging activity was determined by DPPH method. Folin-Ciocalteu was used to determine phenolic contents.
