Background And Purpose: High-density dental fillings pose a non-negligible impact on head and neck cancer treatment. For proton therapy, stopping power ratio (SPR) prediction will be significantly impaired by the associated image artifacts. Dose perturbation is also inevitable, compromising the treatment plan quality.

Methods: A systematic review was conducted using PRISMA guidelines, searching PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science databases for studies describing CRE distribution, risk factors for CRE acquisition and clinical outcome of CRE infections in Africa.
Results: One-hundred and sixty-nine studies were included, with the majority from North Africa (92/169, 54.
Riparian zones are one of the most productive ecosystems in the world, but are at risk due to agricultural expansion and climate change. To maximize return on conservation investment in mixed-use landscapes, it is important to identify the minimum intact riparian forest buffer sizes to conserve riparian ecosystem services. The minimum riparian forest buffer width necessary to maintain tropical river water quality remains unclear, and there is little analysis of effective riparian buffer lengths.

Yet, the coupling of scientific monitoring and management frameworks remains rare in practice because formal and informal communication pathways are lacking. We examined 4 cases in Micronesia where conservation practitioners are using new knowledge in the form of monitoring data to advance marine conservation.

Introduction: In April and June 2012, two outbreaks of Campylobacter gastroenteritis were investigated in an Australian aged-care facility (ACF); a Campylobacter-positive puppy was identified as a potential source of infection.
Methods: An expert panel was convened to assess transmission risk from the puppy to elderly residents and to guide further public health action. Criteria considered as part of the panel's assessment included the puppy's infectivity, the bacterium's transmissibility, puppy-resident contact, infection control and cleaning practices and animal management at the facility.
