Objective: While meniscal repair is preferable to meniscectomy, some cases may be at higher risk of failure if repaired. Incorporating fibrin clot (FC) into the repair has been proposed to improve healing rates. The purpose of this study was to determine the failure rates, patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) and complications of FC augmented meniscal repair for cases considered to be at higher risk of failure.

The aim of this study was to determine whether receiving peri-operative blood transfusions during curative colorectal cancer resection affected overall survival, cancer-related survival, and cancer recurrence. This retrospective study was undertaken at The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Australia, between 1984 and 2004.

Introduction: Bone age (BA) determination in skeletally immature children has been used as a measurement of growth for many years. The Greulich-Pyle (G&P) method of estimating BA is most commonly used. The standards used within this atlas were compiled from research conducted on normal white children in the United States, during the 1930s.

Objective: This study aimed to identify independent predictors of postoperative mortality and morbidity as well as independent predictors of long-term survival.
Design: This study was planned as a retrospective single-institution review.
Background: With the improvements in newer chemotherapeutic agents, the role of primary tumour resection in patients with stage IV colorectal cancer is controversial. In many cases primary tumour resection is still favoured as first-line management. However, a detailed understanding of independent prognostic factors related to survival is necessary before making this decision.
