Methods: National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey weighted survey data (2007-2019) were obtained for ambulatory visits in patients 50 years and older with atraumatic hip or knee pain. The outcome variable was MRI ordering status, and analyzed characteristics included patient age, race/ethnicity, payer, physician specialty, metropolitan statistical area, and a coexistent radiography order.
Supercritical water liquefaction of different plastic wastes has been investigated under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. The supercritical water liquefaction of commonly used plastic types, comprising polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) as well as their mixtures, is reported. The experiments were carried out at varying feedstock-to-water ratios with a residence time of 60 min under supercritical water reaction conditions.

Methods: Sixty radiology reports, comprising 20 MR shoulder, 20 MR knee, and 20 MR lumbar spine reports, were obtained via PACS. The reports were deidentified and then submitted to ChatGPT-4, with the prompt "Produce an organized and concise layperson summary of the findings of the following radiology report.
Objective: Evaluate the microbial yield and factors predicting culture positivity for image-guided arthrocentesis of suspected septic sternoclavicular (SC) arthritis.
Materials And Methods: An electronic health record search identified image-guided SC joint aspirations for suspected septic arthritis. Data was extracted by retrospective chart review including patient demographics, procedure characteristics, pre-procedure lab testing, joint culture results, final SC joint diagnoses and any effect of positive synovial cultures on subsequent antibiotic therapy.

Rationale And Objectives: With recent advancements in the power and accessibility of artificial intelligence (AI) Large Language Models (LLMs) patients might increasingly turn to these platforms to answer questions regarding radiologic examinations and procedures, despite valid concerns about the accuracy of information provided. This study aimed to assess the accuracy and completeness of information provided by the Bing Chatbot-a LLM powered by ChatGPT-on patient education for common radiologic exams.
Materials And Methods: We selected three common radiologic examinations and procedures: computed tomography (CT) abdomen, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) spine, and bone biopsy.
Objective: To determine imaging utilization rates in outpatient primary care visits and factors influencing likelihood of imaging use.
Methods: We used 2013 to 2018 National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey cross-sectional data. All visits to primary care clinics during the study period were included in the sample.
Food waste is an attractive feedstock for Anaerobic Digestion due to its high biodegradability and moisture content. Nevertheless, due to its complex structure and composition, methane yield is typically compromised with 50-60% of the theoretical maximum obtained. The well-known limitation of the hydrolysis step can be circumvented by adopting feedstock pre-treatments, such as microwave irradiation.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective review of the medical record from June 2017 to June 2022 identified ultrasound-guided biopsies of potentially neurogenic tumors that were performed with a pre-procedural nerve block. Patient demographics, biopsy site, number of passes, needle gauge, use of sedation, pathology results, and procedural complications were recorded and summarized.
Agenesis of the long head of biceps tendon (LHBT) is a congenital anomaly not commonly reported in the literature, and bilateral absence of the LHBT is even more rare. Most cases of LHBT agenesis are found incidentally at arthroscopy or are diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging after a history of insidious shoulder pain or anterior shoulder instability. We present the magnetic resonance imaging findings of bilateral congenital absence of the LHBT in a 37-year-old male with Silver-Russell syndrome who presented with progressive, bilateral anterior shoulder pain after failing conservative treatment strategies.

It is sometimes also called "avascular necrosis" and "aseptic necrosis" when involving epiphysis, or "bone infarct" when involving metadiaphysis. Common sites include femoral head, humeral head, tibial metadiaphysis, femoral metadiaphysis, scaphoid, lunate, and talus.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective review of US-guided TMJ arthrocentesis for the work-up of septic arthritis performed by radiologists at two institutions was performed. Patient demographics, risk factors for septic arthritis, blood culture results, and pre-procedural imaging findings were recorded.
Objective: To determine if MR neurography of the common peroneal nerve (CPN) predicts a residual motor deficit at 12-month clinical follow-up in patients presenting with foot drop.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective search for MR neurography cases evaluating the CPN at the knee was performed. Patients were included if they had electrodiagnostic testing (EDX) within 3 months of imaging, ankle and/or forefoot dorsiflexion weakness at presentation, and at least 12-month follow-up.
Diagnostic musculoskeletal imaging represents a large economic expenditure within the health care system. Cost-effectiveness analysis can identify the most efficient use of imaging resources, but the literature is not well summarized. The purpose of this study was to summarize the existing literature on this topic and identify areas for future research.

Other advantages of US include dynamic evaluation, easy contralateral comparison, fewer implant contraindications, less artifact from ferromagnetic debris, and facile needle guidance for perineural injections. The authors review peripheral nerve US for traumatic peripheral nerve injury with an emphasis on injury grading and entrapment neuropathy and describe best-practice techniques for US-guided perineural injections while highlighting specific techniques and indications.

Methods: The authors performed a structured search of four databases for the dates January 1, 2000, to April 13, 2021, using key words and derivatives focused on imaging and patient race. Retrieved citations were reviewed by abstract and then full text to identify articles that evaluated the likelihood of imaging use by patient race or ethnicity controlling for sociodemographic factors.
Objective: To examine the trends in CT utilization in the emergency department (ED) for different racial and ethnic groups, factors that may affect utilization, and the effects of increased insurance coverage since passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010.
Materials And Methods: Data from the National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NHAMCS) for the years 2009-2018 were used for the analysis. The NHAMCS is a cross-sectional survey which has random and systematical samples of more than 200,000 visits to over 250 hospital EDs in the USA.
