Introduction: Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is an acute immune-mediated polyneuropathy that primarily affects the peripheral nerves. Following the Zika virus outbreak in Latin America, all the Latin American and Brazilian studies conducted reported an increase in the incidence of GBS.
