Regional sea level rise varies from the global average and is influenced by climate variability. We studied sea level anomalies in southern Brazil from 1993 to 2022, finding increasing trend from 1993 to 2022. We used oceanic and atmospheric dynamics to understand the rapid sea level rise.

In vitro-produced embryos are constantly exposed to stressful conditions that can lead to the activation of the apoptotic pathway. The nuclear Kappa B factor (NF-κB) is an inflammatory mediator that induces the expression of tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), a pro-inflammatory cytokine, while interleukin-10 (IL-10), an anti-inflammatory cytokine, inhibits NF-κB activity. Biological activity of essential oils (EOs) has been extensively reported; however, their low aqueous solubility, high photosensitivity, and volatility compromise a broad industrial use of these compounds. To overcome these limitations, we proposed a nanoencapsulation approach to protect EOs, that aims to increase their stability and modulate their release profile. In this study, drug-in-cyclodextrin-in-liposomes encapsulating two essential oils ( and ) and their respective major compounds (thymol and eugenol) were produced by ethanol injection and freeze-dried to form proliposomes and further physicochemically characterized.
