Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disease with important cardiovascular (CV) implications. CV disease represents over half of RA patient deaths and causes significant morbidity. CV manifestations in RA can be complex, raising concerns for adequate patient management and provider-dependent roles.

Retrospective Analysis of Population Demographic Characteristics, Medical Interventions, and Resource Use at a Medical Student-Run Clinic on the Texas-Mexico Border.

Purpose: The study's purpose was to assess population demographics and resource utilization of the Medical Student Run Clinic, which provides primary care services to patients in El Paso, Texas along the Texas-Mexico border.

Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional chart review was performed on 760 patients evaluated at the medical student-run clinic between 2013 and 2016. Data included demographic characteristics, chief complaints, diagnoses, and interventions, which were analyzed with calculations of means, standard deviations, and percentages.

[Three years experience in the detection and follow-up of violence against the elderly in a tertiary hospital].

Objectives: The Hospital Clínico San Carlos Committee against violence established a protocol in 2012 in order to detect and follow-up violence against elderly persons. This article presents the experience after 3years of its introduction, as well as an analysis comparing the differences between those younger and older than 65years of age.

Material And Methods: All cases were collected during years 2013, 2014, and 2015, and were divided into two groups, A and B, according to age, younger or older than 65years.

The mineral status in two ecosystems typical of the Iberian Peninsula was evaluated. Ecosystem I was formed by forests and ecosystem II by hilly areas. The levels of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc and selenium in soils, rations and serum were measured.

Incidence of different health factors and their influence on traffic accidents in the province of Madrid, Spain.

Unlabelled: Most traffic accidents occur as a result of human dependent risk factors. The approach in this study focuses especially on health factors, which could have direct influence on these accidents.

Method: A sample of 5430 and 2857 clinical histories were selected systematically from the total cases attended by the Emergency Service of the Community of Madrid (SUMMA 112) in 2006 and 2007.
