Oncologic reconstructive surgery of the talus with structural allograft: Case report.

Introduction And Importance: Introduction and importance: Bone tumors of the foot constitute 3 % of all bone tumors, within these, the location in the talus constitutes between 8 and 23 % of bone tumors. Within the oncological management of these lesions, preservation surgery has had a great boom in the last 10 years, however, the use of massive structural allograft is not a conventional surgery and there is little literature on its use, which is why we consider important to document clinical cases.

Case Presentation: we document 2 clinical cases of bone tumor in the talus that were surgically managed with tumor resection plus reconstruction with total and partial talus allograft.

Effects of clowning on anxiety, stress, pain, and hormonal markers in paediatric patients.

Background: Clowning has been used in many hospitals, particularly for children. Studies suggest the effectiveness of this methodology, but more evidence is needed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of a humour therapy intervention on biological markers, pain and anxiety levels in paediatric patients.

Introduction And Importance: Giant cell tumors (GCTs) of bone in the carpus are rare. Carpal GCTs are usually solitary lesions; multifocal involvement is exceptional. These lesions have a higher risk of local recurrence after intralesional curettage than those in other body areas.

Spatiotemporal correlation study of traffic accidents with fatalities and injuries in Bogota (Colombia).

The planning and location of resources for urban traffic management generate complex decision problems, given the uncertainty of variables that explain traffic behavior, the lack of data, and the large number of factors to be considered when creating optimal policies. In particular, the attention given to traffic-related accidents by local authorities requires the modeling and forecasting of events that are spatial and temporally defined. In this study we use data from the traffic police department in Bogota (Colombia) about incidents with injuries or fatalities between 2014 and 2016.
