Epitaxy of semiconductor-based quantum well structures is a challenging task since it requires precise control of the deposition at the submonolayer scale. In the case of Ge Sn alloys, the growth is particularly demanding since the lattice strain and the process temperature greatly impact the composition of the epitaxial layers. In this paper, the realization of high-quality pseudomorphic Ge Sn layers with Sn content ranging from 6 at.

Artificial synapses based on ferroelectric Schottky barrier field-effect transistors (FE-SBFETs) are experimentally demonstrated. The FE-SBFETs employ single-crystalline NiSi contacts with an atomically flat interface to Si and HfZrO ferroelectric layers on silicon-on-insulator substrates. The ferroelectric polarization switching dynamics gradually modulate the NiSi/Si Schottky barriers and the potential of the channel, thus programming the device conductance with input voltage pulses.

Introduction: The causal agents of Verticillium wilts are globally distributed pathogens that cause significant crop losses every year. Most Verticillium wilts are caused by V. dahliae, which is pathogenic on a broad range of plant hosts, whereas other pathogenic Verticillium species have more restricted host ranges.

Two polyketides, cryptosporiopsin A (1) and hydroxypropan-2',3'-diol orsellinate (3), and a natural cyclic pentapeptide (4), together with two known compounds were isolated from the culture of Cryptosporiopsis sp., an endophytic fungus from leaves and branches of Zanthoxylum leprieurii (Rutaceae). The structures of these metabolites were elucidated on the basis of their spectroscopic and spectrometric data.
