A dinuclear copper(II) complex with photoswitchable catechol oxidation activity.

In this study, we report the first example of a photoswitchable copper complex with catechol oxidase activity. The distance between the two copper centres is optimal for catalytic catechol oxidation in the -configuration. Thus, the activity of the catalyst is increased compared to its -configuration.
