Researchers have attempted to control robotic hands and prostheses through biosignals but could not match the human hand. Surface electromyography records electrical muscle activity using non-invasive electrodes and has been the primary method in most studies. While surface electromyography-based hand motion decoding shows promise, it has not yet met the requirements for reliable use.

To the best of our knowledge, there has been no systematic review examining the global costs of hypochondriasis, encompassing both direct and indirect costs.

We present a rare case of a spreading anorectal abscess in a patient who presented with only diffuse abdominal pain, and we review similar cases in the literature according to anatomical considerations, presentation, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options. We identified 7 previously reported cases of spreading anorectal abscesses.

However, to our knowledge it is unknown whether dynamic contrast enhanced imaging separates lesions into clinically meaningful pathological groups. We examined whether dynamic contrast enhanced imaging would improve the detection of clinically significant cancer.

Background: The Prostate Health Index (phi) outperforms PSA and other PSA derivatives for the diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa). The impact of phi testing in the real-world clinical setting has not been previously assessed.
Methods: In a single, large, academic center, phi was tested in 345 patients presenting for diagnostic evaluation for PCa.
Objectives: To explore the utility of Prostate Health Index (PHI) density for the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer (PCa) in a contemporary cohort of men presenting for diagnostic evaluation of PCa.
Patients And Methods: The study cohort included patients with elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA; >2 ng/mL) and negative digital rectal examination who underwent PHI testing and prostate biopsy at our institution in 2015. Serum markers were prospectively measured per standard clinical pathway.
The Prostate Health Index (phi) has been FDA approved for decision-making regarding prostate biopsy. Phi has additionally been shown to positively correlate with tumor volume, extraprostatic disease and higher Gleason grade tumors. Here we describe a case in which an elevated phi encouraged biopsy of a gentleman undergoing active surveillance leading to reclassification of his disease as high risk prostate cancer.

We led four focus groups consisting of patients older than 65 years of age who had a diagnosis of cardiovascular disease and were using a prescription for cardioprotective agents, such as aspirin, anticoagulants, and/or antiplatelets. The participants' stories were retrospective accounts about physician and patient interactions and adverse events organized in the plot structure of a trial-and-error story.

In a retrospective study we analyzed the functional and radiological outcome of 30 proximal humeral fractures, treated by PHILOS-plate, a fixed-angle device. Two of them were characterized as type Neer III, 14 as type Neer IV, 5 as type Neer V and 9 as type Neer VI. There were 2 2-part, 16 3-part and 12 4-part fractures.

The purpose of this report was to examine relations between infant proneness-to-distress temperament, maternal personality characteristics, and mother-infant attachment. There were no main-effect relations between infant proneness-to-distress temperament as assessed at 9 months and infant attachment classification at 13 months.
