Background: Sevoflurane is a volatile anesthetic commonly used to maintain anesthesia in patients with end-stage liver disease (ESLD) undergoing orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). Growing evidence suggests that patients with ESLD have decreased anesthetic requirements compared to patients with preserved liver function.
