Vegetational succession assessment is an important step for better management practices, providing relevant quantitative and qualitative information. With the advancements of remote sensing algorithms and access to data, land use and land cover (LULC) monitoring has become increasingly feasible and important for the evaluation of changes in the landscape at different spatial and temporal scales. This study aims to analyze the vegetation succession achieved by a project funded by the Brazilian Environmental Ministry (Ministério do Meio Ambiente, in Portuguese) intended to recover degraded areas.
