Background: Subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (S-ICD) is a well-established therapy for sudden death prevention. Considering the painful nature of the procedure anaesthesia may be required for analgo-sedation. Hypnosis is emerging as a promising therapeutic strategy for pain control.
