An estimated 9.6 million people died from cancer globally in 2018, which is a reflection of the quality of patients' end-of-life care and its costs. To estimate direct medical costs of the last 30 days of oncology patients admitted to an inpatient clinic and to evaluate factors associated with medical costs at the end of life.
