Objectives: Emerging results indicate that, in COVID-19, thromboembolic complications contribute to the high mortality and morbidity. Previous research showed that the prevalence of pulmonary embolism (PE) is between 25-50% in COVID-19 patients, however, most of these reports are based on data from patients with severe pneumonia, treated in intensive care units.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective, single-center, observational study to estimate the prevalence of PE in COVID-19 patients who underwent CT angiography and to identify the most important predictors.
Objectives: Carotid bodies (CBs) play an important role in regulating sympathetic nervous system activity. Thus, they are likely to be enlarged in patients with certain cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. The aim of this case-control study was to verify this hypothesis using computed tomography angiography (CTA).

Szerepe kiemelendő mind az intratesticularis eltérések differenciáldiagnózisában, mind pedig a kevésbé ismert paratesticularis eltérések esetében.

For this reason, there is an emphasis on evaluating diagnostic tools for screening. Chest CT scans are emerging as a useful tool in the diagnostic process of viral pneumonia cases associated with COVID-19.

Patients with 21-hydroxilase deficiency usually have bilateral and palpable testicular nodules. Although adrenal rest tumours are well documented in the literature, the diagnosis and management require a multidisciplinary approach: the cooperative work of endocrinologists, urologists, pathologists and radiologists is essential.

We conducted a retrospective study to analyze the results of ultrasound-guided interventions between 2016 and 2018. All interventions were performed in female patients due to uncertain abdominal wall lesions at the University of Szeged, Hungary.

Our aim was to evaluate the incidence rate of NAFLD and NAFPD, PAT size, and the effect of metformin treatment on NAFLD, NAFPD, and PAT in new-onset T2DM (NODM). Seventeen patients with NODM and 10 subjects used as a control group were involved in the study.

In the last few years, several PSMA-specific ligands have been developed, that can be successfully used to detect primary prostate cancer, tumor recurrences and metastases as well.
Aim: The goal of our work was to examine the clinical application of a technetium-labeled PSMA-radiopharmaceutical as part of the routine diagnostics of prostate cancer.
The paraclinical examinations, principally the MRI have an increasing significance in the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. However, MRI markers also have a prominent role in monitoring of the disease-course and activity, and also in the planning of possible therapeutic changes. In accordance with previously published international guidelines, in this article we propose a protocol for the monitoring the treatment efficacy in multiple sclerosis.

The newer and newer treatment options of the disease make it necessary to monitor the effectiveness of the therapy. Besides the clinical signs (clinical relapses and progression), the different MRI parameters can also reflect the disease activity.

It is known that a remarkable proportion of infertility is caused by the disorders of the male reproductive functions. Diagnostic imaging methods and especially ultrasonography play a crucial role in the infertility work-up, the ultrasound examination has become the method of choice for imaging in diseases affecting the testis.

In a cross-sectional study, we analyzed the brain structural impairments of outpatients with schizophrenia using concurrent subgrouping methods, partly to enhance the extensity of exploration, and partly to estimate the validation of the divisions. High resolution T1-weighted MR images were obtained for 21 patients and 13 healthy controls.

Methods: A comprehensive 23-item radiology survey was distributed via email to the International Society of Radiology members, national radiological societies, radiologists and medical physicists. Reminders to complete the survey were sent and the results were analyzed over a period of 4 mo (January-April 2016).
In both the United States and Europe, efforts to reduce soaring health care costs have led to intense scrutiny of both standard and innovative uses of imaging. Given that the United States spends a larger share of its gross domestic product on health care than any other nation and also has the most varied health care financing and delivery systems in the world, it has become an especially fertile environment for developing and testing approaches to controlling health care costs and value. This report focuses on recent reforms that have had a dampening effect on imaging use in the United States and provides a glimpse of obstacles that imaging practices may soon face or are already facing in other countries.

Introduction: Prognosis after opening the obstructed coronary artery in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is influenced by several factors. In routine clinical practice, revascularization is considered to be successful when the restoration of epicardial blood-flow is complete. However, the patent epicardial artery does not always provide functional recovery in the myocardium.

Background: Myocardial perfusion is an important prognostic factor after recanalisation in acute myocardial infarction patients. We present a computerized, densitometric measurement method to assess myocardial perfusion on phase-matched digitally subtracted coronary angiograms.
Methods And Materials: Quantitative myocardial perfusion was assessed by the G(max)/T(max) parameter of the time-density curves (TDCs) in infarct-related myocardial regions on X-ray coronary angiograms.

Introduction: The objective of treatment in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is reperfusion of the myocardium at risk. Our goal was to evaluate the effect of vessel masking on videodensitometric assessment of myocardial reperfusion.
Methods: Epicardial vessels were masked out from the densitometric region of interest, where average rise slope (G(max)/T(max)) of time-density curves (TDC) were measured.
Purpose: In vitro evaluation of different materials as potential alternative oral contrast agents for small bowel MRI.
Materials And Methods: The T1 and T2 relaxation times of rose hip syrup, black currant extract, cocoa, iron-deferoxamine solution and a commonly used oral contrast material (1 mM Gd-DTPA) were determined in vitro at different concentrations on a 1.0 T clinical MR scanner.
Lung cancer is one of the major causes of death as one of the most frequent malignant diseases in Hungary. Imaging examinations, especially computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission computed tomography (PET-CT) play eminent role in the detection, differential diagnosis, staging and follow-up of the disease. The purpose of this article is to review the role and efficacy of the available modalities and to define the diagnostic algorithm appropriate in different periods of the disease.
