Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on synthesizing gold nanoparticles using the plant extract of Ajuga bracteosa, a medicinal herb from the Himalayas.
  • The antibacterial properties of the synthesized gold nanoparticles and the supernatant from the extract were tested against pathogenic bacteria, showing that the supernatant had the strongest antibacterial effect, particularly against E. coli.
  • Additionally, the anticancer potential of the nanoparticles was evaluated on specific cell lines, revealing that the gold nanoparticles had an inhibitory effect, especially on one of the cell lines, and the supernatant contained toxic compounds identified through GC-MS analysis.
