This review investigates that effective cancer treatment enhances the number of survivors in Denmark, but late complications like chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) are a challenge. CIPN affects sensory nerves and can persist post-treatment. Diagnosis relies on symptoms and the medical history.

However, evidence for an association between FIB-4 and risk of mortality and/or liver-related clinical outcomes is limited. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between FIB-4 and subsequent liver events, cardiovascular events, and all-cause mortality in individuals with obesity and/or type 2 diabetes examined in routine general practice.

While many studies have investigated concomitant therapy with basal insulin+GLP-1RA, few have reported on premixed insulin+GLP-1RA. We aimed to address this gap using data from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink Aurum database in England.

This has led to an increased incidence of brain metastases (BM), and BC is now the leading cause of BM in women. Treatment of BM primarily consists of surgery and/or radiotherapy.

Interventions to address FCR need to be effective but also accessible and low cost. This randomized controlled trial evaluated the efficacy of an online group-based psychological intervention for FCR (ConquerFear-Group).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFChemotherapy is widely used in cancer treatment, and the drug Capecitabine is often used in treatment of breast cancer and usually well-tolerated. Toxicity from Capecitabine typically involves hand-foot syndrome, fatigue, nausea, reduced appetite, and diarrhea, while severe liver toxicity is rarely seen. We present a case of a 63-year-old female with metastatic breast cancer, without liver metastasis, who developed a severe drug-induced liver injury (DILI) with critically elevated liver enzyme levels as reaction to Capecitabine treatment with seemingly no evident explanation as to why.

Aims: This study investigated the ethnic differences in glycaemic levels and clinical characteristics among insulin-naïve people with type 2 diabetes (T2D) initiating biphasic insulin aspart 30/70 (BIAsp 30) in primary practice in England.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective, observational cohort study utilizing data from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink Aurum database, including White, South Asian, Black and Chinese insulin-naïve adults with T2D, initiating BIAsp 30. The index date was that of the first BIAsp 30 prescription.
Introduction: One in five breast cancer (BC) survivors are affected by persistent pain years after completing primary treatment. While the efficacy of psychological interventions for BC-related pain has been documented in several meta-analyses, reported effect sizes are generally modest, pointing to a need for optimisation. Guided by the Multiphase Optimization Strategy, the present study aims to optimise psychological treatment for BC-related pain by identifying active treatment components in a full factorial design.

This study demonstrates that initiation of glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists among individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2D), including those with concomitant atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), has remained low in the United States between 2014 and 2019, despite clinical evidence supporting their use for cardiovascular risk reduction. These findings add to the existing literature to highlight a gap in adherence to current practice guidelines, which suggests that most patients with T2D and ASCVD in the United States may not be receiving optimal risk‐reducing therapies.

The efficacy of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP1-RA) for treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity is well established, but their role in the treatment of weight regain after bariatric surgery remains to be defined.
Materials And Methods: This was a single centre retrospective observational study conducted at a Swiss bariatric reference centre.
Six recommendations to facilitate rehabilitation research and supplement existing research practices were identified. Rehabilitation practice requires research addressing different long-term multi-faceted needs and perspectives of end users, including service users, professionals, politicians, and administrators. Research in rehabilitation should therefore integrate different research traditions and methods.

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine acute and long-term morbidity in Danish women treated for BC.
Objective: ConquerFear has been found to effectively reduce fear of cancer recurrence (FCR). Group interventions may be particularly effective for the treatment of FCR and could lower overall costs. Our objectives were therefore to adapt ConquerFear into a group format (ConquerFear-Group, CF-G), and to evaluate its feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy.

The patient, who had no previous surgical record, presented with three days of pain in the right upper quadrant. Ultrasound evaluation showed no signs of cholecystitis, after which an abdominal computed tomography confirmed the diagnosis.

Methods: One hundred eighty-two biopsy-verified breast cancer patients suspected of metastatic disease prospectively underwent contrast-enhanced DL-CT and WB-MRI. Two radiologists read the CT examinations with and without spectral data in consensus with 3-month washout between readings.
Purpose: Treatment for estrogen receptor positive (ER+), human epidermal receptor 2 negative (HER2-) metastatic breast cancer (MBC) has improved with the approval of CDK 4/6 inhibitors. Clinical trials with the CDK4/6 inhibitor ribociclib, suggest that 35% to 57.5% of the patients require a dose reduction during ribociclib treatment.

Methods: DLSCT and axillary US were prospectively performed in 70 needle biopsy-verified breast cancer patients. Histopathology and imaging data were available for evaluation in 36 axillae from 34 patients.
Introduction: Resuming work during or after cancer treatment has become an important target in cancer rehabilitation.
Purpose: The aim was in a controlled trial to study the return to work (RTW) effect of an early, individually tailored vocational rehabilitation intervention targeted to improve readiness for RTW in cancer survivors.
Material And Methods: Participants diagnosed with breast, cervix, ovary, testicular, colon-rectal, and head-and-neck cancers as well as being employed were allocated to a vocational rehabilitation intervention provided by municipal social workers ( = 83) or to usual municipal RTW management ( = 264).
Purpose: To assess diagnostic performance of fat fractions (FF) from high-resolution 3D radial Dixon MRI for differentiating metastatic and non-metastatic axillary lymph nodes in breast cancer patients.
Method: High-resolution 3D radial Dixon MRI was prospectively performed on 1.5 T in 70 biopsy-verified breast cancer patients.
We present the Danish Disease Trajectory Browser (DTB), a tool for exploring almost 25 years of data from the Danish National Patient Register. In the dataset comprising 7.2 million patients and 122 million admissions, users can identify diagnosis pairs with statistically significant directionality and combine them to linear disease trajectories.

Whether these impairments cause distress, thus qualifying for a more clinically relevant diagnosis of sexual dysfunction (SD), is inadequately described among BCSs and represents an important research gap. Hence, the primary aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of clinically relevant SD, in this context: impairments with associated distress, and to identify factors associated with SD among BCSs on AET.
