An updated review on 1,2,3-/1,2,4-triazoles: synthesis and diverse range of biological potential.

The synthesis of triazoles has attracted a lot of interest in the field of organic chemistry because of its versatile chemical characteristics and possible biological uses. This review offers an extensive overview of the different pathways used in the production of triazoles. A detailed analysis of recent research indicates that triazole compounds have a potential range of pharmacological activities, including the ability to inhibit enzymes, and have antibacterial, anticancer, and antifungal activities.

Seroprevalence of herpes simplex virus type 1 and type 2 among the migrant workers in Qatar.

Background: Limited data exists on herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2) infections in migrant populations. This study investigated HSV-1 and HSV-2 seroprevalences and associations among craft and manual workers (CMWs) in Qatar who constitute 60% of Qatar's population.

Methods: A national population-based cross-sectional seroprevalence survey was conducted on the CMW population, all men, between July 26 and September 9, 2020.

SARS-CoV-2 Infection Is at Herd Immunity in the Majority Segment of the Population of Qatar.

Background: Qatar experienced a severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) epidemic that disproportionately affected the craft and manual worker (CMW) population, who comprise 60% of the total population. This study aimed to assess ever and/or current infection prevalence in this population.

Methods: A cross-sectional population-based survey was conducted during July 26 to September 09, 2020, to assess both anti-SARS-CoV-2 positivity through serological testing and current infection positivity through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing.

Enantioselective Synthesis of 2-Aminomethyl and 3-Amino Pyrrolidines and Piperidines through 1,2-Diamination of Aldehydes.

An efficient method for the synthesis of 1,2-diamines from aldehydes through proline-catalyzed asymmetric α-amination followed by reductive amination is reported. The products resemble those obtained through direct asymmetric diamination of terminal alkenes. The methodology is used to synthesize 2-aminomethyl and 3-amino pyrrolidines and piperidines in high yields and with a good enantioselectivity.

Diastereoselective synthesis of furanose and pyranose substituted glycine and alanine derivatives via proline-catalyzed asymmetric α-amination of aldehydes.

A concise organocatalytic route toward the synthesis of furanose and pyranose substituted glycine and alanine derivatives is reported. These compounds are core structural units of some of the naturally available antibiotics and antifungal agents. Proline-catalyzed asymmetric α-amination of aldehydes derived from sugars is used as the key reaction to synthesize twelve sugar amino acid derivatives.

Towards universal salt iodisation in India: achievements, challenges and future actions.

India is one of the first countries to introduce salt iodisation, but the national programme has experienced major setbacks. The purpose of this paper is to review the national efforts towards universal salt iodisation (USI) in India and highlight key challenges in programme implementation. A brief historical overview of the salt iodisation programme is provided and the current status of the household usage of iodised salt and population iodine status is described.

[Gestationis pemphigoid. From three observations and in the light of a review of the literature].

The gestationis pemphigoid is a rare auto-immune vesiculo-bulleuse dermatosis occurring during the pregnancy or of the postpartum. The diagnosis is evoked by the localization and the type of eruption like by which has occurred of successive pushes. The cutaneous biopsy in immunofluorescence confirms the diagnosis by showing the linear deposit of C3 along the basal membrane.
