Background: Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) is the standard treatment for acute complicated type B aortic dissection (TBAD). However, long-term results reveal that TEVAR does not achieve a complete aortic remodeling and poses a risk of aneurysmal aortic degeneration. Distal re-entry treatment at the abdominal level seems to be necessary to obtain a complete remodeling in TBAD.
