How does digitally enabled micro-finance promote income equality for the vulnerable in the expanded BRICS block during the pandemic?

Introduction: Tech-enabled alternative micro-finance promotes income equality in growing BRICS and Austria across financial crises and pandemics. Are financial access and digital skills equally economically valuable? Our study uses inputs: Human Capital, Alternative Micro-finance, Digitization, Governance, and Entrepreneurship, GDP, inflation, population growth, pandemics, and economic crises using the global 2000-2022 to explain income equality using SWIID Gini disposable and market income index as outputs.

Methods: The study uses Principal component analysis for reducing data dimensionality and collinearity.

This concept paper addresses specific challenges identified in the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as well as the National Health Policy of India (NHP-India) and the Ministry of Health Policy of UAE (MHP-UAE). This policy calls for a digital health technology ecosystem. SDG Goal 1 and its related objectives are conceptualized which serves as the foundation for Virtual Consultations, Tele-pharmacy, Virtual Storage, and Virtual Community (VCom).

Cross Country Determinants of Investors' Sentiments Prediction in Emerging Markets Using ANN.

The paper models investor sentiments (IS) to attract investments for Health Sector and Growth in emerging markets, ., India, Mainland China, and the UAE, by asking questions such as: What specific healthcare sector opportunities are available in the three markets? Are the USA-IS key IS predictors in the three economies? How important are macroeconomic and sociocultural factors in predicting IS in these markets? How important are economic crises and pandemic events in predicting IS in these markets? Is there contemporaneous relation in predicting IS across the three countries in terms of USA-IS, and, if yes, is the magnitude of the impact of USA-IS uniform across the three countries' IS? The artificial neural network (ANN) model is applied to weekly time-series data from January 2003 to December 2020 to capture behavioral elements in the investors' decision-making in these emerging economies. The empirical findings confirmed the superiority of the ANN framework over the traditional logistic model in capturing the cognitive behavior of investors.

Autonomous Tool for Monitoring Multi-Morbidity Health Conditions in UAE and India.

Multi-morbidity is the presence of two or more long-term health conditions, including defined physical or mental health conditions, such as diabetes or schizophrenia. One of the regular and critical health cases is an elderly person with a multi-morbid health condition and special complications who lives alone. These patients are typically not familiar with advanced Information and Communications Technology (ICT), but they are comfortable using smart devices such as wearable watches and mobile phones.

Plasma cell rich acute rejection: Risk factors, treatment and outcomes.

Plasma cell-rich rejection is a rare and poorly defined entity. Its treatment is not clearly defined and has universally poor prognosis. More data should be published from various transplant centers around the world to identify the treatment that has the best outcomes and to formulate treatment guidelines for these cases.

Background: Since the introduction of direct antiviral agents (DAAs), morbidity of HCV has considerably decreased but still no guidelines have been formulated in renal transplant recipients (RTRs). We studied efficacy and tolerability of direct antiviral agents in RTRs.

Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted at Army Hospital Research & Referral, Delhi, from June 2016 to May 2017.

Urinary tract infection in renal transplant recipients at a tertiary care center in India.

Our objective was to determine incidence, predisposing factors, and microbiological profile of urinary tract infection (UTI) in renal transplant recipients in our center. This was cross-sectional observational study, conducted at the Department of Nephrology, Army Hospital Research and Referral, Delhi, India. Two hundred and ten renal transplant recipients were studied over one year.

Inborn errors of metabolism: Review and data from a tertiary care center.

Inherited metabolic disorders are a heterogeneous group of genetic conditions mostly occurring in childhood. They are individually rare but collectively numerous, causing substantial morbidity and mortality. We have retrospectively reviewed a total of eight hundred and sixty nine cases with different age groups that had been referred from several diagnostic centers and hospitals of India to the Department of Metabolism in Narayana Hrudayalaya, as cases suspected with inborn errors of metabolism.

Biotin metabolism defect - A case report.

Defects in biotin metabolism are mainly associated with either the enzyme Biotinidase or Holocarboxylase synthetase. Defects in either enzymes depletes biotin utilization by the cells. Holocarboxylase synthetase deficiency is an inherited disorder in which the body is unable to use the vitamin biotin effectively.

TSH receptor antibodies in subjects with type 1 diabetes mellitus.

The research was undertaken to study the prevalence of TSH receptor antibody positivity in patients with type 1 diabetes. A total of 74 subjects with type 1 diabetes were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. Thyroid function test and assessment of thyroid autoimmunity with anti-TPO and TSH receptor antibody were done in all patients.

Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) has been inducted as a mediator of inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis. Methotrexate combination therapy forms an important component of the treatment regimen in rheumatoid arthritis. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the influence of Methotrexate-Hydroxychloroquine (MTX-HCQ) combination and Sulfsalazine- Hydroxychloroquine (SSZ-HCQ) combination on the expression GM-CSFR in neutrophils isolated from synovial fluids.

Recurrent stupor due to lysinuric protein intolerance.

Recurrent stupor in children is an uncommon clinical problem with a wide differential diagnosis; inherited metabolic disorders account for a vast majority. We report a 9-year-old girl with recurrent episodes of stupor. Initial episode was treated as viral encephalitis and the second episode was managed as non-convulsive status epilepticus.
