Background And Purpose: Hirayama disease is a benign focal amyotrophy of the distal upper limbs involving C7, C8, and T1 segmental myotomes with sparing of the brachioradialis and proximal muscles of the upper limb innervated by C5-6 myotomes. The objective of the present study was to study the utility of MR imaging in young patients presenting with weakness and wasting of the distal upper extremity and to evaluate the importance of the laminodural space during flexion cervical MR imaging.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective cross-sectional study conducted from January 2014 to July 2017 in a tertiary care center from Northeast India.
Vasicinone, a quinazoline alkaloid from Nees. is well known for its bronchodilator activity. However its anti-proliferative activities is yet to be elucidated.

Estimation of the wavefront from measured slope values is an essential step in a Shack-Hartmann-type wavefront sensor. Using an appropriate estimation algorithm, these measured slopes are converted into wavefront phase values. Hence, accuracy in wavefront estimation lies in proper interpretation of these measured slope values using the chosen estimation algorithm.

This prospective as well as retrospective study was carried out from December 2010 to September 2016 in a tertiary care center of northeast India on 92 patients with Hirayama disease. Only 19 patients having bilateral symmetric upper limb involvement at the time of presentation were included in this study sample.

The synthesized nanocomposite was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), fluorescence, and zeta potential measurements. The narrow band gap and different band gap energies of FeO and VO proved to be suitable for the absorption of visible light in the solar spectrum.

Aim: To analyse the MRI findings in females suspected of MRKH syndrome in a primary amenorrhea workup.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study comprising of 11 patients of MRKH syndrome presented in a tertiary care centre from March 2016 to February 2017 evaluated in 1.
Background: Pedicle screw fixation in high grade lumbar listhetic vertebral body has been nightmare for Orthopaedic and spine surgeons. This is because of abnormally positioned listhetic pedicles and non-visualization of pedicle in conventional image intensifier (C-Arm). This results into increased surgical time, more blood loss, radiation exposure and more chances of infection.

Background: Post-traumatic unilateral or bilateral sub-axial cervical spine dislocations with locked facets are quite common. In developing countries like India, many patients with cervical injuries report late due to many reasons like rural backgrounds, lack of infrastructures and skilled surgeons, unawareness, poor socioeconomic status, lack of transportation to the specialized center with proper facility, etc. Early management is essential to maximize better neurological outcome.

This leads to a large strain gradient due to an induced capacitive response, providing a 250% enhancement in electromechanical response compared with pristine CNTs. The fabricated large-area flexible thin film exhibits excellent pressure sensitivity, which can even detect an arterial pulse with a much faster response time (∼79 ms) in a bendable configuration.

The beam movement becomes noticeable when the beam position is monitored continuously for several hours. We perform experiments to show that the beam movement is non-mechanical in nature and is connected with the power on/off instants of the LCSLM as well as the heat conductivity of the mounting slab which acts as the rigid support to the LCSLM panel.

A self-powered Cl-ZnO NRs PD exhibits superior photon detection speed of the order of a few ms with high sensitivity and photoelasticity. Therefore, the presented PD opens up a novel route to fabricate highly efficient self-powered PDs on a large scale without employing complex multilayer systems.

The zonal wavefront sensor comprises an array of binary gratings implemented by a ferroelectric spatial light modulator (FLCSLM) followed by a lens, in lieu of the array of lenses in the Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor. We show that the fast response of the FLCSLM device facilitates quick display of several laterally shifted binary grating patterns, and the programmability of the device enables simultaneous capturing of each focal spot array.

In the last couple of decades the radially polarized beam has been gaining a lot of importance in diverse areas owing to its unique properties, especially near the focus of a lens. For instance, when focused tightly, the radially polarized beam produces a strong axially polarized field on the optical axis near the focus. Some of the areas where the radially polarized beam is found to be useful are optical trapping, laser machining, optical data storage, optical superresolution, and so on.
