Therapeutic Futility in Terminal Cancer Patients: A Retrospective and Observational Study.

Introduction Advanced cancer patients often need therapy for symptomatic control, in addition to cancer and other disease treatments. As the cancer disease progresses and life expectancy decreases, there should be a change in the goal of care. If this change is not accompanied by therapeutic adjustments, there is a risk of maintaining useless and ineffective treatments, as well as potential harmful drug interactions.
