Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the factors associated with elder abuse according to the levels of social determinants.
Methodology: This is a quantitative and multicentric study, with a cross-sectional cut. It was developed in two teaching hospitals in Paraíba, Brazil, with 323 older adults, from July 2019 to February 2020.
Purpose: Sarcoma, a highly aggressive form of cancer, profoundly affects patients both physically and psychologically. This study aimed to assess sarcoma patients' health-related quality of life and explore their experiences of living with the disease and their specific care requirements.
Methods: This research employed a convergent parallel mixed-methods design.

Understanding which patient-reported outcomes (PROs) should be monitored could have a significant impact on reducing the symptom burden associated with cancer and its treatment by playing a pivotal role in developing symptom self-management plans and designing tailored approaches to optimize patients' symptom self-management behaviors.

Method: This was a cross-sectional study carried out with 56 elderly people classified in situation of violence. To do so it was used the Brazil Old Age Shedule (BOAS), the Conflict Tactics Scales Form R, the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) and the Mini-mental State examination (MMSE).
New biotechnological strategies are being explored, aimed at rapid and economic manufacture of large quantities of DNA vaccines with the required purity for therapeutic applications, as well as their correct delivery as biopharmaceuticals to target cells. This report describes the purification of supercoiled (sc) HPV-16 E6/E7 plasmid DNA (pDNA) vaccine from a bacterial lysate, using an arginine-based monolith, presenting a spacer arm in its configuration. To enhance the performance of the purification process, monolith modification with the spacer arm can improve accessibility of the arginine ligand.

Method: A cross-sectional descriptive-analytic study, performed with 98 female nurses, aged 40-65 years, using the WHOQOL-Bref questionnaire.
Results: the worst level of quality of life was observed for professionals aged 50-59 years, non-white, specialists, divorced or widowed, with children, a lower income, with another employment relationship, a weekly workload of more than 40 hours, who consumed alcoholic beverages weekly, with chronic disease, in continuous use of medications, sedentary, who did not menstruate and did not receive hormonal treatment, and who went through menopause between the ages of 43-47 years.
In this work, mastoparan analog peptides from wasp venom were tested against and safety assays were performed using cell culture and model zebrafish. Minimal inhibitory concentration was determined and toxicity was performed using human skin keratinocyte and embryo zebrafish. Also, permeation of peptides through embryo chorion was performed.

Well-defined oligo(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (OEOMA) based block copolymers with cationic segments composed by N,N-(dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) and/or 2-(diisopropylamino) ethyl methacrylate (DPA) were developed under biorelevant reaction conditions. These brush-type copolymers were synthesized through supplemental activator and reducing agent (SARA) atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) using sodium dithionite as SARA agent.
