White grubs possess natural defense mechanisms against entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs). Hence, EPN isolates that naturally infect white grubs tend to be among the most effective biological control agents of white grubs. We tested the virulence of four EPN isolates recently isolated from infected white grubs in turfgrass areas in central New Jersey, USA against third-instar larvae of , , and , which are pests of turfgrass and ornamental plants in the northeastern USA.

In the case of influenza A virus (IAV), liquid condensates known as viral inclusions, concentrate the 8 distinct viral ribonucleoproteins (vRNPs) that form IAV genome and are viewed as sites dedicated to the assembly of the 8-partite genomic complex. Despite not being delimited by host membranes, IAV liquid inclusions accumulate host membranes inside as a result of vRNP binding to the recycling endocytic marker Rab11a, a driver of the biogenesis of these structures.

We address advantages and limitations of the technologies used to generate NAM aptamers, especially the applicability of existing engineered polymerases to replicate NAMs and methodologies to improve aptamers after SELEX.

Background and Purpose- The hypothesis that venous recanalization prevents progression of venous infarction is not established in patients with cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT). Evidence is also scarce on the association between residual symptoms, particularly headache, and the recanalization grade. We aimed to assess, in patients with CVT treated with standard anticoagulation, (1) the rate of early venous recanalization, (2) whether lack of early recanalization was predictor of parenchymal brain lesion progression, and (3) the prevalence and features of persistent headache according to the recanalization grade achieved.

Influenza A virus has an eight-partite RNA genome that during viral assembly forms a complex containing one copy of each RNA. Here we identify sympathetic neuron-associated macrophages (SAMs) as a population of cells that mediate clearance of NE via expression of solute carrier family 6 member 2 (SLC6A2), an NE transporter, and monoamine oxidase A (MAOA), a degradation enzyme. Optogenetic activation of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) upregulates NE uptake by SAMs and shifts the SAM profile to a more proinflammatory state.
