Cardiovascular and thromboembolic disturbances are the main causes of disease-related deaths worldwide. Regardless of the etiological factors involved in thrombus formation, coagulation is mainly activated by thrombin, one of the most important blood clotting molecules. Thus, this study evaluated the leaf crude extract, its ethyl acetate fraction effect on the coagulation cascade, and its possible side effects.
