Purpose: We aimed to develop a nomogram able to predict treatment failure, skeletal events, and overall survival (OS) in patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer with bone metastases (CRPC-BM) treated with Radium-223 dichloride (Ra).

Patients And Methods: Patients from the Castilla-La Mancha Spanish region were prospectively included in the ChoPET-Rad multicenter study from January 2015 to December 2022. Patients underwent baseline, interim, and end-of-treatment bone scintigraphy (BS) and F-Fluorocholine PET/CT (FCH PET/CT) scans, obtaining multiple imaging radiomics as well as clinical and biochemical variables during follow-up and studying their association with the previously defined end-points.

Infective endocarditis (IE) is a major public health condition due to the associated high morbidity and mortality. Our objective was to evaluate the utility of dual-time 2-deoxy-2-[18F] fluoro-D-glucose (18F-FDG) Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) imaging in the diagnosis of active IE in patients with suspected native valve endocarditis (NVE) and prosthetic valve endocarditis (PVE). To validate the performance of automated Prostate Cancer Molecular Imaging Standardized Evaluation (aPROMISE) in quantifying total prostate disease burden with 18F-DCFPyL PET/CT and to evaluate the interobserver and histopathologic concordance in the establishment of dominant and index tumor. Patients with a recent diagnosis of intermediate/high-risk prostate cancer underwent 18F-DCFPyL-PET/CT for staging purpose. The follow-up of glioma patients after therapeutic intervention remains a challenging topic, as therapy-related changes can emulate true progression in contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging. F-fluoroethyl-tyrosine (F-FET) is a radiopharmaceutical that accumulates in glioma cells due to an increased expression of L-amino acid transporters and, contrary to gadolinium, does not depend on blood-brain barrier disruption to reach tumoral cells. It has demonstrated a high diagnostic value in the differentiation of tumoral viability and pseudoprogression or any other therapy-related changes, especially when combining traditional visual analysis with modern radiomics.

Recommendations regarding transversal topics applicable to bladder cancer patients independent of tumor grade and stage were established by members of the Spanish Oncology Genitourinary Multidisciplinary Working Group (SOGUG). Liquid biopsy in urine and blood samples is useful in the surveillance of non-muscle-invasive and muscle-invasive bladder cancer, respectively. Gliomas are characterized by an inherent diffuse and irregular morphology that prevents defining a boundary between tumor and healthy tissue, both in imaging assessment and surgical field. The effective identification of the extent of the disease in diffuse and multiple gliomas is crucial for their management but doing so by radiological means can be challenging. We present a broad spectrum of diffuse and multiple gliomas using 18F-fluorocholine PET/CT, demonstrating the potential of metabolic imaging in the evaluation of these gliomas, with implications in patient clinical management and outcome.

Based on the discussion of current state of research of relevant topics of metastatic bladder cancer (mBC) among a group of experts of a Spanish Oncology Genitourinary (SOGUG) Working Group, a set of recommendations were proposed to overcome the challenges posed by the management of mBC in clinical practice. First-line options in unfit patients for cisplatin are chemotherapy with carboplatin and immunotherapy in PD-L1 positive patients. This review presents challenges and recommendations on different aspects related to the management of patients with localized muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), which were discussed by a group of experts of a Spanish Oncology Genitourinary (SOGUG) Working Group within the framework of the Genitourinary Alliance project (12GU). It is necessary to clearly define which patients are candidates for radical cystectomy and which are candidates for undergoing bladder-sparing procedures.
