Background: Considering that beliefs may be assessed and changed, inventories measuring employability and career beliefs may be of utmost importance for career interventions.

Objective: This study introduces the psychometric properties of a brief version of the Employability and Career Beliefs Inventory (ECBI) in a sample of unemployed persons.

Methods And Results: Altogether, 2023 unemployed persons aged from 18 to 66 years old and living in Southern Portugal participated in an online survey.

Unlabelled: This study compared the psychological future of unemployed individuals and workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. It used the data from two previous data collections, one with unemployed individuals and another with workers. Participants from the two datasets were paired considering the same gender and similar age and education degree.

Social-Emotional Skills, Career Adaptability, and Agentic School Engagement of First-Year High School Students.

The transition to the first year of high school constitutes a critical moment because it corresponds to the implementation of a career choice, which can impact students' satisfaction and psychosocial adjustment. The career construction model of adaptation holds potential to explain how students adapt to high school, by suggesting linkages among adaptive readiness, resources, responses, and results. However, research applying the career construction model to school transitions, combining social-emotional, career, and academic variables is still needed.

"Death is a sensitive topic when you are surrounded by life": Nurses experiences with pregnancy loss.

Objective: Although there is increasing evidence on the psychosocial adjustment and experiencing pregnancy loss from the patient's perspective, few studies have investigated the nurses' experience perceptions. This study aimed to understand the experience of nurses involved in pregnancy loss care based on the self-fulfillment model of communication.

Methods: A qualitative approach was developed through semi-structured interviews to 16 nurses working in an Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Department of a local hospital.

A social cognitive perspective on occupational identity development in college students.

Occupational identity is a central concept of career development, by providing a sense of direction and meaning across career development. This study aimed to examine how this concept can be associated with career processes through model formed by a set of socio-cognitive factors. The participants were 358 college students at a Brazilian university who completed measures of occupational identity, environmental supports and barriers, self-efficacy, goal progress, and academic satisfaction.

Preference to Eat Alone: Autistic Adults' Desire for Freedom of Choice for a Peaceful Space.

Backgrounds: Autistic adults tend to prefer eating alone, which may result in further social isolation. This study aims to understand contexts of challenges autistic adults face when eating with other people outside home.
