This study evaluates the degree of implementation (DI) of the Regulates+ Brazil project and analyzes to what extent the variations in implementation influence the results observed in access to specialized appointments in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. This is an evaluative research of implementation analysis. A logic model and an analysis and judgment matrix with indicators for evaluating the degree of implementation and the results of the Project were developed and submitted to expert consensus.

This study aims to describe the process of participatory and consensual modeling of educational activities to back the assessment of the strategy's effectiveness. Development of the modeling used consultation with 18 key informants, selected intentionally according to their proximity to the educational activities' planning and execution.

A cross-sectional quantitative approach was used with data collected through a structured questionnaire, prepared on the basis of three study dimensions (Policy, Structure, and Organization), applied to 31 key actors in health surveillance in the selected Health Regions and municipalities. The measure of central tendency was mean score, and synthetic indices were obtained for each dimension and attribute.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe study aimed to analyze the relationship between decentralization of the Brazilian Unified National Health System (SUS) and the development of epidemiological surveillance activities in municipalities (counties) in Pernambuco State, Brazil. This was an exploratory descriptive qualitative and quantitative study, including a document search, completion of semi-structured interviews by key informants, and an ecological spatial and time trend study of selected health indicators, covering a 10-year period (2001-2010). The study showed that municipalities adhered to the decentralization process, which was making progress in Pernambuco, but with inequalities and weaknesses in its development.
