Iatrogenic perforation is a procedural incident that may occur in endodontic treatments of primary and/or permanent teeth. Prognosis may be favorable if a complete seal with biomaterial is immediately established. Several materials, including glass-ionomer cement (GIC), have been used to seal different types of perforation defects.
