Clinical determination of anatomical diameter in different dental groups correlating them with gender, age, tooth/canal and pulpoperiradicular diagnosis: an observational clinical study.

The aim of this observational clinical study (OCS) was to determine the clinical anatomical diameter (CAD) in several dental groups, thus correlating them with gender, age, tooth/canal and pulpoperiradicular diagnosis. Three-hundred fifty-nine teeth/584 vital or necrotic root canals from patients of both genders and different ages composed the sample. After performing the necessary previous procedures, K-Flexofiles were used to determine the CAD.

Evaluation of Root Fracture in endodontically treated Teeth using Cone Beam Computed Tomography.

Aim: Our objective was to perform an in vitro evaluation of root fracture in endodontically treated teeth using two cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) machines.

Materials And Methods: The sample comprised 86 single-rooted human premolars that had been fractured by a universal testing machine. The tomographic images were acquired using an Orthopantomograph OP300 and an Orthophos XG 3D and evaluated by three examiners, by means of specific software.

Objective: This study investigated the effect of a self-etching adhesive system containing an antimicrobial quaternary ammonium methacrylate polymer (QAMP) on the vascular permeability using Evans blue and laser-Doppler flowmetric methods.

Design: Forty rats were anesthetized and divided into groups: saline solution; Clearfil™ Protect Bond; Clearfil™ SE Bond; Clearfil™ SE Bond containing QAMP. Injections of Evans blue were administrated intravenously and the substances were injected intradermally.

Background: Despite being functional and having aesthetic benefits, the acceptance of patients regarding the use of removable partial dentures (RPDs) has been low. In part, this is due to the deleterious effects that causes discomfort to the patient. Success depends not only on the care expended by the patient, including daily care and oral hygiene, but also on common goals set by their professional and clinical staff, aiming beyond aesthetics, to incorporate issues of functionality and the well-being of patients.
