Periodontitis and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) are prevalent oral diseases with distinct etiologies, yet they share certain molecular and biological characteristics. Gene expression datasets from the gene expression omnibus (GEO) repository (GSE30784 for OSCC and GSE10334 for periodontitis) were analyzed. Microencapsulation is an optimistic method for the delivery of live microbial cells through different food products. In this study, riboflavin-producing probiotic strain Lactiplantibacillus plantarum MTCC 25,432 was encapsulated using a spray drying technique with different wall materials including Inulin, maltodextrin (MD), and MD + Inulin (1:1). Capillary hemangioma is a benign, vascular tumor characterized by proliferation of blood vessels that are primarily reported to be a developmental hamartomatous lesion of infancy and childhood. Till date, many cases of capillary hemangiomas have been reported in the literature, but juvenile hemangiomas with other systemic manifestations such as hepatitis B have not been studied well so far. The present paper reports a rare case of capillary hemangioma in a ten-year-old female with hepatitis B, which was treated under general anesthesia using electrocautery and followed up for one year and no recurrence was found.

The bacterial cytoplasmic membrane is a principal site of protein translocation, lipid and peptidoglycan biogenesis, signal transduction, transporters and energy generating components of the respiratory chain. Although 25-30% of bacterial proteomes consist of membrane proteins, a comprehensive understanding of their influence on fundamental cellular processes is incomplete. The aim of this study was to formulate and evaluate stavudine floating microballoons for controlled drug release.
