Considering the controversies surrounding the impact of anemia on psychiatric symptoms, this study investigates the 6-month trends of anxiety and depression in anemic pregnant women with threatened abortion (TA).
Methods: A case-control retrospective cohort study conducted among 282 participants who enrolled in a registry of pregnant women with TA in Babol city from December 2022 to October 2023.
Background: Threatened abortion (TA) is associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes. Despite the attention paid to the adverse outcomes of obstetrics, only a few studies have been conducted on the psychological status of women with threatened abortion. This study aimed to compare the symptoms of depression and anxiety in women with TA and those without threatened abortion.
