Background: In the background of reported high distress among medical students and health professionals, character building at the level of health institutions may be helpful for augmenting academic performance and nurturing well-being during the training period of budding health professionals.
Aim: This study aims to assess non-cognitive positive traits, particularly Values in Action-character strengths related to the virtue of courage among trainees and doctors. It may reveal the association of challenging situations being faced in health profession with inculcation of the virtue of courage.
The impact of virtue of courage as mediating and moderating variable in interactions of oral health beliefs with oral hygiene habits and dietary preferences is of interest. A total of 100 patients with a complain of periodontal ailments and dental caries were enrolled from dental institute. 40 items belonging to character strengths of psychological virtue of courage in values in action Inventory of Strength (VIA-IS) Questionnaire and 15 Oral Health Belief Questionnaire items were recorded.

Aim: This study was undertaken with an aim to explore the influence of factors associated with anxiety and fear of dentistry on oral health behavior.
Materials And Methods: A total of 84 patients aged 20-40 years visiting the dental institute for the management of gum diseases (gingivitis and periodontitis) and tooth decay (dental caries) were enrolled.
