Multimodal Physical Therapy Management of Subcoracoid Impingement: A Case Report With One-Year Follow-Up and Ultrasound Measurement of Coracohumeral Distance.

Subcoracoid impingement occurs due to mechanical encroachment of the subscapularis tendon in the subcoracoid space between the coracoid process and lesser tuberosity of the humerus. Although physical therapy is known to have a crucial role in managing this condition, to the best of our knowledge, there is no established physical therapy program in the literature. This case report aims to provide a detailed presentation and diagnosis of a subcoracoid impingement case and to investigate the effects of physical therapy on pain, disability, performance, muscle strength, and ultrasound measurements over a one-year follow-up period.

Acute Tachycardia-Induced Cardiomyopathy: A Case Report.

BACKGROUND Tachycardia from atrial fibrillation or flutter can lead to left ventricular systolic dysfunction. Some patients deteriorate quickly, and there is an acute drop in their left ventricular systolic function; however, they tend to normalize rapidly after treatment of the underlying arrhythmia. The aim of publishing the present case is to maintain awareness that tachycardia is one of the etiologies of acute systolic heart failure, which is potentially reversible by treatment when recognized.

Hodgkin Lymphoma-Associated Superior Vena Cava Syndrome: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

BACKGROUND Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is a relatively rare etiology of superior vena cava (SVC) syndrome, with only 24 cases reported in the literature. The characteristics, management, and prognosis of HL-associated SVC syndrome remain unclear. This case report describes nodular sclerosis classical HL and the associated clinical manifestations presenting as SVC syndrome in a middle-aged patient, and it summarizes the characteristics of HL-associated SVC syndrome.

Antiproliferative activity, enzymatic inhibition and apoptosis-promoting effects of benzoxazole-based hybrids on human breast cancer cells.

New benzoxazole derivatives containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole, 1,2,4-triazole or triazolothiadiazine rings were synthesized and screened for their in vitro antiproliferative activities against MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell lines using MTT assay. Doxorubicin, cisplatin and 2-(4-aminophenyl)benzothiazole (CJM 126) were used as references. The most active compounds 7a, 8d, 8e and 10c were screened for their antiproliferative activities against MCF-10A normal breast cells where compounds 8e and 7a were the most selective towards MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines, respectively compared to CJM 126.
