This analysis of PRIMA examined the quality-adjusted PFS (QA-PFS) and quality-adjusted time without symptoms of disease or toxicity (Q-TWiST) of patients on maintenance niraparib placebo.
Methods: Patients were randomized 2:1 to receive once-daily maintenance niraparib ( = 487) or placebo ( = 246).
(1) Purpose: Current study aimed at evaluating the relationship between quantitative metabolic and volumetric FDG PET/CT parameters and the response to definitive chemoradiation therapy in locally advanced cervical cancer patients; (2) Methods: Ninety newly diagnosed locally advanced cervical cancer patients (FIGO IB2-IVA) were investigated. All patients underwent PET/CT at staging and after treatment. Metabolic and volumetric parameters, including SUVmax, SUVmean, Total Lesion Glycolysis (TLG), and Metabolic Tumor Volume (MTV) of the primary tumor and metastatic lymph nodes were measured and compared between patients with and without complete metabolic response (CMR).

Methods: Machine learning was used to predict recurrence among women who were diagnosed and treated for endometrial cancer between 2002 and 2012 at elven university-affiliated centers.
Objective: To compare the rates of post-operative radiotherapy between two methods of lymph nodes assessment during surgical staging for endometrial cancer (EC).
Methods: We conducted a comparative study of all consecutive women with endometrial cancer who underwent sentinel lymph node detection and biopsy using blue dye and isotope scan (SLNB) at Kaplan Medical Center and patients from the IGOG database, who underwent staging lymphadenectomy (PLND). The primary outcome was the rate of adjuvant and therapeutic radiation.
Background: Olaparib has significantly improved outcome and patient-centered endpoints in BRCA1/2-mutated patients with recurrent platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer (PSOC). Specific information on efficacy and safety of olaparib for older patients appears of special interest.
Methods: 295 patients from the SOLO2 trial randomly assigned to olaparib or placebo were categorized according to age-cutoff at 65 years.

Objective: To compare oncological outcomes in women with lower uterine segment involvement (LUSI) in endometrial carcinoma (EC) stage ≥ II - staged by a minimally invasive surgery (MIS) versus laparotomy.
Study Design: A retrospective multi-center cohort study. Univariate analysis, Kaplan-Meier survival and Cox proportional hazard analysis were performed to compare between women staged by MIS and those staged by laparotomy.
Objective: Endometrial cancer prognosis is related to stage, histology, myometrial invasion, and lymphovascular space invasion. Several studies have examined the association between pretreatment thrombocytosis and patient outcomes with contrasting results regarding prognosis. Our aim was to evaluate the association of pretreatment platelet count with outcomes in endometrial cancer patients.

Objective: In women with cervical cancer (CC), treatment with radiation causes changes in vaginal biomechanical properties, anatomy and function. The aims of the current study were to objectively assess effects of radiotherapy (RT) on vaginal elasticity, wall mobility and contraction strength; and to evaluate associations of these changes with sexual function.
Study Design: This prospective cohort study was approved by our Institutional Review Board.
Objective: To compare outcomes of symptomatic and asymptomatic women with endometrial cancer and a preoperative diagnosis of an endometrial polyp.
Design: An Israel Gynecologic Oncology Group multi-center retrospective cohort study.
Methods: Of 635 patients with endometrial cancer and a preoperative diagnosis of an endometrial polyp who underwent surgery between 2002 and 2014 in one of 11 centers in Israel were divided into two groups according to the presence of bleeding symptoms.

Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) is characterized by episodes of vasospasm affecting the hands and feet. Paraneoplastic RP, as a single presenting symptom is rarely seen in cases of ovarian cancer (OC), and thus may lead to misdiagnosis. We present a case of paraneoplastic RP in a patient with high-grade serous OC.

Bacteria were first detected in human tumors more than 100 years ago, but the characterization of the tumor microbiome has remained challenging because of its low biomass. We undertook a comprehensive analysis of the tumor microbiome, studying 1526 tumors and their adjacent normal tissues across seven cancer types, including breast, lung, ovary, pancreas, melanoma, bone, and brain tumors. We found that each tumor type has a distinct microbiome composition and that breast cancer has a particularly rich and diverse microbiome.
