Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the ability of Saudi Arabian pediatricians and family physicians to conduct clinical screening for (DDH) by estimating their clinical knowledge and skills and analyzing the gaps therein to determine whether there is potential to launch a national screening protocol for DDH in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: This is a multicenter cross-sectional study from three major regions in Saudi Arabia (Central, Eastern and Western provinces).
Background: Hip spica tables are widely used among pediatric orthopedic surgeons to maintain the hip position during cast application and drying processes for a better outcome. Locally customized spica tables can be a significant concern if their limitations significantly interfere with the quality of care.
Objective: This study aims to explore the current practice of pediatric hip spica table application among hospitals in the GCC countries and report comprehensive data that help surgeons enhance their practice.
Purpose: Nonunion of fractures occurs in about 15% of all fractures causing repeated surgical interference and prolonged morbidity. We performed this systematic review to assess genes and polymorphisms influencing fractures' nonunion (FNU).
Methods: We searched between 2000 and July 2022 in PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) Catalog, and the Science Citation Index, with the keywords nonunion of fractures, genetic influence, and GWAS.
Osteofibrous dysplasia [OFD] is a rare, benign pediatric fibro-osseous lesion that exclusively arises in the lower limbs. Apart from the limited number of familial OFD cases with MET mutation, no other genetic aberrations have been identified. Herein, we report a case of OFD in a four-month- old girl's leg with novel cyclin-dependent kinase 12 and discoidin domain receptor 2 gene mutations.

Legg-Calve-Perthes disease (LCPD) is a type of avascular necrosis of the femoral head occurring mainly in male children and causing early osteoarthritis. We report 2 generations of 4 male family members with LCPD-like features and mutation of the COL2A1 gene of the 12q13 chromosome. If LCPD occurs in any family member, we recommend genetic analysis and counselling as well as early radiological screening of related children.

Methods: In this retrospective study, 154 Saudi Arabian patients with osteoporosis-related hip fractures were analyzed for the presence of a vertebral fracture. Radiographs were retrieved from the IPAC (Image Picture Archiving and Computing) System, an imaging retrieval system, and were reviewed independently by two of the authors, Abid Hussain Gullenpet, and Mir Sadat-Ali, and later reviewed jointly.
We conducted a cross-sectional study involving culture of cell phones of 288 health care providers (HCP) during a 6-month period. One hundred nine (43.6%) HCP carried infective organisms on their cell phones.
