Successful thoracoscopic excision of complex supracardiac middle mediastinal bronchogenic cyst in an infant.

Introduction: We report the first case of complex supracardiac middle mediastinal foregut duplication lesion compressing and adherent to the heart, managed successfully thoracoscopically in an infant, in an innovative way.

Materials And Surgical Technique: A 1-year-old girl was diagnosed as having supracardiac middle mediastinal foregut duplication lesion. It was completely overlying and adherent to her heart giving transmitted pulsations to the lesion, causing indentation over the left atrium and surrounded by all vital structures such as aorta, pulmonary artery, bronchi and phrenic nerve.

Sutureless versus sutured circumcision: A comparative study.

Introduction: Today is the era of "wireless" in technology and here comes era of "sutureless" in the field of surgery. Every surgeon wishes for better wound healing with better cosmesis without complications and early back to routine activities. All this is possible by use of adhesive for wound edges of circumcision is shown by us in this study.

Stealth surgery for congenital muscular torticollis.

Introduction: We report a case of congenital muscular torticollis managed successfully by the endoscopic transaxillary subcutaneous approach without any neck incision.

Materials And Surgical Technique: A 10-year-old girl was diagnosed as having right torticollis. After her condition and the necessary procedure were explained to her parents, the patient underwent surgery.

Nonclosure of rectourethral fistula during posterior sagittal anorectoplasty: Our experience.

Aim: To study the effect of nonclosure of rectourethral (RU) fistula and to do a comparative analysis of the complications with and without nonclosure of RU fistula during posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) in anorectal malformation cases (ARM).

Materials And Methods: A total of 68 cases of ARM were included in the study group, of which 34 cases were those in whom RU fistula was not closed (group A) during PSARP. Another 34 successive cases were included in study group B in whom the RU fistula was closed as is conventionally done by using interrupted sutures.

Right congenital diaphragmatic hernia associated with anorectal malformation.

We describe a neonate in whom a right congenital diaphragmatic hernia and an anorectal malformation coexisted. Their coexistence in the same patient is rare.
