Correlates of malnutrition in patients with heart failure: the role of social support.

Aims: Heart failure (HF) is a major public health challenge. Malnutrition has a significant effect on HF prognosis. Understanding the impact of social and clinical factors on the risk of malnutrition is necessary because it may aid in improving the health status of HF patients.

Background: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) as a set of cardiac risk factors and its growing prevalence is one of the major concerns in different societies. In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between Mets and electrocardiogram (ECG) parameters and abnormalities as indicators for subclinical cardiovascular diseases (CVD).
