Aromatherapy Using Lavender Oil Effectiveness on Pain and Anxiety After C-Section: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: Managing postoperative setting, regarding pain and anxiety after cesarean delivery is crucial for the mother's recovery, her emotional well-being, mother-infant bonding and initiating breastfeeding. Although some research have suggested that aromatherapy with lavender essential oil can be effective in reducing pain and anxiety in various medical settings, the efficacy of lavender aromatherapy in the postoperative setting after cesarean delivery is less well-studied. We aimed to assess the effectiveness of lavender essential oil therapy in the management of pain and anxiety after cesarean delivery.

Successful conservative surgical management of first-trimester placenta accreta: Case report.

Introduction And Importance: Placenta accreta spectrum in the first trimester is a rare but life-threatening condition. Its diagnosis and management remain challenging due to the lack of diagnostic criteria and therapeutic guidelines. Case report: Peritonitis secondary to traumatic bowel perforation during second-trimester surgical abortion.

Introduction And Importance: Uterine perforation and bowel injury are rare but potentially life-threatening complications of surgical abortion. Early diagnosis results in easier management and better prognosis. We report here a case of a 39-year-old presented with peritonitis secondary to traumatic bowel perforation after second-trimester surgical abortion.

Evaluation of Triclosan coated suture in obstetrical surgery: A prospective randomized controlled study (NCT05330650).

Objectives: To assess the effectiveness of Triclosan coated suture in reducing surgical site infections (SSIs) rate after caesarian delivery (CD).

Study Design: Three hundred eighty patients were randomly assigned to closure with polyglactin non coated suture VICRYL, or with polyglactin coated suture VICRYL Plus after caesarian section. The primary outcome was the rate of SSIs within 30 days after surgery and secondary outcomes were the rate of wound healing complications.
